I have a few pictures. Was at a certain air base/ museum in Dayton last year and took a few random shots. The place is huge. Didn’t even see it all and they’ve made another addition. Will have to go back again, maybe next year.
If you can ever make it to Wright-Patterson its fantastic and its paid by your tax dollars. No admission fee, but make sure you have a drivers license or ID card. It is on an active base and security is taken seriously. To go to the Presidential hangars you have to sign in early in the day or you won’t make the cut because they limit visitor numbers going from the main museum to those hangars.

The National Museum of the United States Air Force is truly a treasure.

I was at that museum about 25 years ago. I need to get back. Soon.

The only thing I was surprised and shocked at was the cafeteria/school lunch type foods in the restaurant. Was very basic. The museum itself is awesome. Everyone who has a chance shouldn’t miss it.

Do it, they’ve added tons of planes since then.

Very cool. Didn't know they had a UFO there hiding in plain/plane sight.

4th of July a couple years ago - I work with a guy whose dad was a navigator on one of these... made it through his whole stint with just some holes in his plane.

120. It will be my first time with it. I got it loaded this morning and accidentally passed the first frame and didn’t realize it until I saw a sideways 2. Took a shot of my baby boy as a test at home to go over the controls again and that leaves me with ten frames. Knowing me I probably won’t develop this for a couple months.

My mother had an old Yashica Mat124g that took great pictures. I cleaned, resealed it and sold it on eBay with the leather ready case for over $150. It had been used a lot but in GC condition with a good light meter it drew top dollar. Someone in NYC bought it.

From my phone. A Russian guy recognized my Lubitel and asked where I got film and asked if I develop it myself.

Very cool. Post those pics when they get developed. If you aren’t on the photography.kinja I could link them there for you.

No, I’m actually pretty active on the photography sub. I also brought my dslr so I’ll probably post those first.

Up until this week I only had a 12.4mp mirrorless and a 9mp bridge camera. Got my 1st DSLR Canon and have only taken a few test shots with it.

What mirror less and dslr? I’ve got a t2i that I typically use old Nikon lenses with. I just went to the museum yesterday and shot everything on the kit 18-55.

Pentax Q7 mirrorless and Canon T6. Just got the Canon, despite the negative reviews. Its a bargain, a scaled back version of T6i or T5i , no touch or flip screen , simpler menu , somewhat less autofocus points,no in body stabilizer, no facial recognition but still 18mp . I got the body, Canon bag, 18-55mm EF-S, 70-300mm EF and Pixma MG3620 printer for $550 out the door. Needed a photo printer because my Olympus die -sub printer won’t work with new computer and my Epson wireless is substandard for photos but fine otherwise . I came out ahead all the way around.

Sounds like a good deal.
